Here is some more information about Michaela :
“Hello! My name is Michaela Warlick, and I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am pursuing a major in International and Global Studies with a concentration in human rights, a minor in German, and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies.I began studying German during my freshman year of college due to really positive experiences with German students that had studied abroad at my high school. The professors and faculty in my university’s German Department are incredibly supportive and encouraging and persuaded me to apply for a DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship. At the time, the Peace and Conflict Studies Department at my home university was planning a research program in partnership with the University of Konstanz. Through this program, I was allowed to attend research seminars concerning the refugee crisis in Germany as well as volunteer at local organizations dedicated to assisting refugees in the city of Konstanz. I am so grateful for having been awarded a DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship, and I look forward to assisting students who plan to study abroad in Deutschland!”alike.
