The 35th Duke Japanese Speech Contest was held online in March 2022, and the JNS204 student Benjamin Pettee won 1st place in the Level I category. His speech title was “Gomi no Boken (Garbage Adventure).” In his creative and inspiring speech, he shared his concern for the environment and emphasized the importance of recycling. Benjamin started studying Japanese at UNCG in Fall 2021.
