Personal Statement

As an instructor of French at UNCG, my goal has always been to creatively utilize my knowledge and enthusiasm for the French language and Francophone culture in such a way that inspires my students to meet and overcome the challenges that second language acquisition may present in the classroom. Ultimately, I hope to show them the rewarding nature of language learning, and the pure satisfaction that they will attain when they are able to apply what they have learned in class on a much broader scale, whether it be in their personal or professional lives – something which transcends any mere classroom experience.
