Call for Papers

Submission deadline extended to June 6, 2022.

The Mountain Interstate Foreign Language Conference invites you to attend its 71st annual meeting which will be held at the University of North Carolina Grensboro, NC, from October 20 – 22, 2022. Submissions of abstracts are welcome in the following languages: ASL, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish. Please, submit your abstract in English.

We are especially interested in papers dealing with the following fields of study, topics, approaches, and issues in the profession:

If you are interested in presenting an original paper or proposing an organized panel, please submit a 250-word abstract in English with keywords to MIFLC2022@uncg.edu (deadline June 6, 2022). You may also submit a panel proposal with a brief description and the abstracts of the panel proposal. Please, include names and institutions of all presenters. When submitting a panel, it should include three presenters. Presentations may be in the language with which the presenter feels most comfortable; however, they are limited to no more than 20 minutes (60 minutes for panels). Papers of authors in absentia will not be read.
